The owner of The House of Curds and everyone's BFFAE. Probably because he has a Ranch Dressing Cape and people are always trying to bum some Ranch. Curd Bear has striking similarities to our Curd Tunes founder, Chef Luke, while encapsulating his own ultimate fusion of culinary mastery, rock star energy and Midwestern Neptune Soul.
Cubby Curd, The Prodigal Son, keeps everyone around Curd Tunes and The House of Curds feeling Forever Young. He was delivered in the middle of a magically melty evening via a Drone Stork. His bright curiousity is unmatched by his cuteness and powers to persuade you with one simple, "Que-so Dah Dah." He always needs to be watched as he is a walking Hazard in many forms. We child proofed the House of Curds as best as we could, but he reminds us daily of things we forgot to "check."
Kegroll's mission is to always have a good time, but to balance it out in moderation. He bonded with DJ Romaine after many visits to the Plant Nightclub for his "back to life, back to reality" meals. Kegroll visits "back East" once a year to gather exotic seeds for our Hydro Garden and rare items for our Hibachi Music Mashed Potatoes Lab. No one knows where "back East" quite is for him and his ancestors and to make matters more confusing, he has always carried a Midwestern Neptune accent.
A true baddie with a wonderful blend of sweet and spicy attributes , Mango Mami officially introduced The Curd Crew to a better life with spice. Her Chile Necklace is self healing, so she always has enough heat to bring to anyone's table. She felt stuck and stagnant in her life in Chi-Whoa-Whoa where she gained her Masters in Chile Arbol Technology, so she applied to the House of Curds for an internship that soon made her a part of our permanent Family here.
Poppy Papi is a proud Chicago-no from Pilsen, Earth who convinced Curd Bear of the cultural and nutritional significance of Corn, Masa and Popcorn. Raised in a rough situation that he was blessed to get out of, Poppy utilizes his street smarts to better the House and help the crew out of otherwise unavoidable situations. He is constantly trying to court Mango Mami, however she is continuously adamant about him. Always reminding him he is from Pilsen, not Chi-whoa-whoa and that he will never have a chance. But maybe he will if he keeps the right balance of sweet and savory?
Truffles was rescued one day when Curd Bear was in the middle of one of his Shroom Hunts. After Curd Bear stumbled upon the worried looking pup, he gathered that Truffles had gotten distracted by the sound of the crunchiest, most scrunch-tastic sounding Nitrogen bag of chips (that was empty by the time she got to it) and she was now light years from home. Curd Bear took him in as his own and vowed to help search for Truffles' owner. Life had a grand way of rewarding both of them, as that is how Curd Bear discovered Lil' Totty and everyone could live in harmony!
After discovering Truffles on a Shroom Hunt, Curd Bear made it his mission to reunite Truffles with her original PupParent. Being a huge fan of live music, Curd Bear and some of the crew members were at a venue to check out an up and coming rapper than everyone was chatting about on NikNak. That rapper was Lil Totty who had a unique style in the verses he spat were merely humorous and interesting observations about his day. Heck, that's actually just how he talks but he is so magnetic people flock to come see his premier rap talkin' madness. As he was deep into his set, Lil Totty spat a verse about "Missin' Truffles, she thought they were Ruffles, but now we'll never know if she just ended up in some scruffles." Curd Bear interrupted his set immediately by bringing Truffles onto the stage and reuniting them. Their friendships were sealed with a rap, "Fate brought us back, let's get you a snack." Lil' Totty asked if Truffles could stay at the House while he toured and made Curd Bear the honorary Pupfather.
Curd Bear was feeling a lil' plump after the holidays so he was out achieving his New Years week resolution by searching for some Health Conscious Cuisine. He came upon a new spot serving "Planet to Pod" cuisine and was intrigued. The wait for the food was incredibly long, almost as if they were growing the vegetables from scratch before they could serve it. But without the Mollases Kitchen Crew holding up everyone's day, Curd Bear would never have met DJ Romaine who was spinning tunes and had an interesting concept that he proposed to Curd Bear as a businessman. DJ told Bear that he had been working diligently on growing hydroponic plants inside of a Night Club space with the perfect lights and music for the plants 24/7. After showing images of these almost futuristic, other worldly vegetables, Curd Bear just had one question for DJ before knowing whether he would "make the cut." He asked him what he liked about Chicago, Neptune Sports. DJ looked him straight into his soul and said, "To begin with....everything." On the spot DJ Romaine was offered the chance to build and run the 6th Floor of the House of Curds, equipped with his live-in suite.
Do not be fooled by her stunningly beautiful looks, Charlotte is as down to earth and sweet as the Caramelia Chocolate that she created. She loves her day job as the Chocolate Brand Ambassador but has a secret passion for Cheese Curds. When no one is watching and judging, she loves to combine chocolate and cheese together in various forms. After picking up her 3rd order of the week at the House of Curds, Curd Bear went to her Dining Cube to thank her. As he walked over, he noticed her Swapping the tempura crust on the curds onto chocolate cubes and using our pablano queso as a dipping sauce. Stunned, impressed and not even mad, Curd Bear asked Charlotte if she would like to work in the Curd Lab in her spare time to push the creative envelopes already being sealed.
Ai Chef (pronounced Aye Chef!) was snuck out of New Guinea, Earth by Curd Bear when new laws had passed there abolishing any and all forms of Ai. Ai Chef was running the area's most successful Cuboid Cuisine Shoppe by himself and was more than happy to continue his culinary passions with Curd Bear and Crew at The House. From early sentienthood and on, Ai Chef has had an extreme passion for Orchids and Dinosaur fossils. He has even developed special orchid breeds that are able to produce a magical milk that he one day hopes to incorporate into the Dairy Free menu at The House of Curds. Tucked away under his Floor 1 Kitchen Lab Island is his Cloud Bed that he recharges and uploads his memories back to his family who have safely settled into the newly reopened Planet Pluto.
His one eye has seen more Trauma Drama than most decorated Military Veterans. Rabeye's life long mission of being society's Wisdom Vigilante began when he was just 8 months old. After trying his first solid Matza Ball, he saw visions of the people that worked and suffered to create this momentous culinary delight. This extreme empathy led him to see the pain in others that no one else saw and find ways to ease it. Rabeye became a regular at the House of Curds when he realized that they had Kosher style dining options. After lots of pleasant conversation with Ai-Chef at the Culinary Bar, Ai-Chef told Rabeye that he was going to be sending some of his proto-type Orchid Milk up to the Curd Lab so they could make Dairy Free Cheese Curds. This lit Rabeye up like a child and piqued his interest so much that he offered to fund a section of the Plant Beats Garden toward Orchid Milk research.
It may not always seem like it, but the House of Curds NEEDS Karrot Karen. She's judgmental and overall Suss, but she stands her ground and can be trusted to be consistent, even if it is consistently irksome and irritating. After growing up in Florida, Earth with her family on a Rainbow Carrot patch, Karen grew quite a chip on her shoulder for constantly being outcast for her Marshmallow appearance. Instead of shutting down, she flipped the switch and became your worst nightmare if you got in her way. She has no children but considers her Sentient Whistle as her "Little Angel." If there are rules, Karrot Karen is there to make sure you are following them, even if those rules were just made up by her on the fly.
A through and through Ice Blue Collar worker and the #1 regular at the House of Curds. We have a seat in the cartoon pen saved for him at 4:20pm daily and he hasn't missed a reservation in 3 years! His ideal day involves lots of coffee, lots of Curd Tunes. He can be a little annoying but darn it is it charming. The House of Curds never has any repair issues as Bismarcky Mark does a full walk-through everyday doing Preventative Maintenance Service. He also became famously loved among many but hated by some for helping Neptune Congress establish the "Construction Personel cannot plant devices that cause future problems and guaranteed follow up visits for their customers" Clause to the Neptune Constitution.
Pandeer is such a delightful member of our crew. She's made of paneer cheese so she already has quite the in at The House of Curds. Her little booties made of Puri bread are not just cool, they enable her to fly which is crucial when the Curd Chopper is out of commision and we need transportation. Her life has been an exciting adventure, starting in Dehli , then onto the Wisconsin Dells. Santa's Reindeer Idol tour stopped at the Dells and Pandeer knew she had to try out. After advancing to the finals of the competition, she lost in a close bout to Prancer in the Dancing with the Stars style competition. She didn't get Santa's rose, but this is how she discovered her ability to fly. After meeting Dark Chocolate Charlotte at a Cheese & Chocolate networking event, Charlotte begged Curd Bear to make her a part of the crew with her sweet versatility.
Ragu has the ability to protect and watch over the entire house using his Sausage Drone technology with Ai Apps that he has developed on his smart devices. Proud to say that we have had zero incidents on Ragu's watch and it's due to his pro-activity and overall scariness as a being. The crew encourages Ragu to stop skipping leg day, in case he one day has to do more than just walk slowly towards something to scare it off. His Mom is his absolute best friend and she has instilled values of respect and loyalty all through his meatball veins. As a way to pay her back for a life long of care and nurture, Ragu is currently helping to put his Mom through the Berkley School of Content Creation College.
